教育特色 About Our Institution

1. 本園注重幼兒品格教育、生活教育、美德教育、道德倫理教育、禮儀教育,培養幼兒懂得尊重、愛己愛人的情操,並落實在生活當中。

Washington Kindergarten is an institution striving to provide the best education for children to expand and enhance their interests in language acquisition. Our school values the characteristics of life learning, moral education, etiquette, respect, love for others, and most importantly implementation of those core values throughout their lives. Nurturing children’s growth and respecting the core values are the heart of our mission.

2. 幼兒期是EQ養成最好的時期,幼兒教育即是教導孩子如何待人接物、學習團體生活、人際關係的養成,更是培養幼兒解決問題的能力、獨立自主、處事積極的學習態度。 

The best period for EQ development, to learn and acknowledge interactions with others, is during early childhood. Social skills strengthen team building proficiency, and interpersonal relationships cultivate children’s ability to problem solve, be independent, while maintaining a positive learning attitude. 

3. 有系統的教學體系:課程設計影響學習方式,華聖頓幼兒園的課程規劃「以孩子為中心」,每天兩小時的語文主題課程,透過「遊戲」和「情境式」教學活動,將美語融入學習互動中,應用『玩、懂、用』教學三部曲,使幼兒自然而然在生活中運用語文表達,其意涵為:

  【玩】在玩樂中學習,創造孩子更多主動學習的機會,讓幼兒在玩的情境中發現學習的樂趣。玩出花樣、玩出心得、玩出樂趣,更是會玩出創意。

  【懂】藉著體驗,探索活動,引導幼兒在認知、語言、社會、情緒和身體動作等各項能力發展,體驗學習是快樂的。懂得珍惜,懂得感恩、懂得開展。

  【用】幼兒在成長學習中,能將所學的知識、技能及情意,用對時間、用對對象、用對地方。

The curriculum is specifically designed for children. To enhance their  language awareness , a daily two-hour English course is implemented introduced. 
Games and situated teaching are the two major techniques we use in class to improve every child's English level. This refers to the trilogy model of “playing, understanding, and applying” techniques, so that children can naturally use the language in their everyday lives. Our interpretations of the trilogy model “playing, understanding, and applying” techniques are:
“Playing” = games can stimulate children’s brains to learn more actively, which can also help their creativity. 
“Understanding” = through experiments and exploring, some activities can guide children’s development in various abilities such as cognition, language, social skills, emotions, and body structurel.
“Applying” = In the process of growing, children would need to use the knowledge, and skills that they have learned to use it in the right places.
 
 

4. 學習是不斷的探索,科學主題研究課程,讓幼兒的學習從小朝向”Learning how to Learn”的自主學習模式前進。並在學習角落區主動探索體驗,過程中發現的喜悅是足以讓人感動的,教學當中更是帶入 語文、數的概念、自然、科學實驗、音樂、人文藝術、情意、音樂..等,有趣的各項教學活動

Language is not an easy skill to acquire . We need to start the learning process little by little from early childhood. Learning is an ongoing exploration; our goal is to add different scientific experiment courses to stimulate creativity. As well as implementing different subjects, to encourage children's exploration in different areas.The introduction of learning corners will allow children to explore different areas. The concept of learning corners is so children can explore the joy from different learning styles, such as music, science, humanities, arts, etc. 

 

5. 自然生態體驗走廊
菜園、菇菇園種植及動植物生態觀察,激發對自然環境的敏感度,及對生活環境的觀察力。

Natural Environment => our school provides the best learning environment throughout our campus. We have vegetable and mushroom gardens for our children to plant, which will stimulate their learning in a natural environment.  

 

6. 室內的沙坑 ->提供觸覺經驗提升感覺統合,增進幼兒人際互動、激發想像的能力。

Indoor Sandpit => the indoor sandpit enhances children’s imagination and the interpersonal interaction with other children.
